FRENCH AFTERNOON TEA 12 APRIL

On 12 April, Mrs. Wendy Siu, President of Heather & March had hosted a very beautiful and exclusive French Afternoon Tea with co-host Mrs. Madeleine Berti, spouse of the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau joined by Mr. Eric Berti, Consulat Général de France à Hong Kong et Macao at their residence. We have invited key, elegant and influential ladies with their daughters and daughter-in-laws to this special occasion, aiming to share our joie de vivre know-how and elegance of french entertaining with guests of different generations. Hong Kong is a major world city known for our sophisticated and international taste. As the Ambassador of French lifestyle in Hong Kong, Heather & March thus wish to ensure this unique fabric of the city is continuously being weaved not only by key existing cosmopolitan generation but also with their next generation too. Our guests received great ideas and thoroughly enjoyed viewing the beautiful and creative table and home setting of our latest and signature collections from our brands, presented in five different contemporary and casual chic presentations. They include Ercuis, Raynaud , Faïencerie de Gien, Noël Linge de Maison , Le Jacquard Français , Cristallerie de Montbronn, Gabriel-Glas and Charles Lighting, all exclusively available at our store at Prince’s Building. The special French afternoon tea experience is served with Champagne Laurent-Perrier and special delicacies from DALLOYAU Hong Kong and L'Éclair de Génie HK.

CHINESE DINING ETIQUETTE SEMINAR 18 MAY 

Our President and Founder, Mrs. Wendy Siu was invited by Baker at their spectacular showroom at Greater Bay Area, to inspire their VIPs about the advantages of using French porcelain for Chinese entertaining, and how to master refined Chinese dining etiquette through using our exquisite tableware. The guests also received great ideas on how that will enhance their interior living with Baker furniture and thoroughly enjoyed viewing the beautiful and creative table and home setting of our latest and signature collections from our brands.

CHAMPAGNE TASTING WORKSHOP 10 MAY 

Aligning with 'Champagne of Le French GourMay', Heather & March held a Champagne tasting workshop to explore the fantastic champagnes from Laurent-Perrier. Laurent-Perrier is one of the foremost champagne houses known for its own style of wines with freshness, purity and elegance. The champagne was served in our 'one for all' Rene Gabriel wine glasses.

GOOD FRANCE 21 MARCH
The global Goût de France / Good France gourmet event was held successfully for the third year to celebrate French gastronomic heritage. Once again Heather & March was the main tableware sponsor, along with providing our entertaining expertise in creating an authentic French luxury dinner experience for the VIP guests on that evening.

THE JOY OF BAKING 25 JUNE
Our baking demonstration class hosted by Wendy Siu, Founder/President of Heather & March was held on 25 June at the exclusive kitchen studio -Kitchen Infinity of Gagganau & Poggenpohl with great success as always. Our participants were thrilled & happy to pick up expert baking tips in making an Alsace quiche fit for practical home kitchen use from Wendy Siu. Foie Gras making technique is also being shared by her team member Anne Olivier.

Special thanks to Kitchen infinity for their exceptionally elegant reception & set up of the cooking class. Heather & March is very honoured to be working with great & top partner like Gagganau & Poggenpohl once again.

Our participants commented that this is the most classy cooking class they have ever attended in Hong Kong!

ART DE VIVRE LIFESTYLE PROGRAM 4 JUNE

Heather & March successfully held the Art de Vivre Lifestyle Program at Shenzhen Bay Club. The workshop was hosted by ‘art of fine living’ and etiquette expert Mrs. Wendy Siu, President and Founder of Heather & March. She was invited by Shenzhen Bay to host this program to their VIP Club members. Siu showed participants how to master refined French dining etiquette and table manners through using our exquisite tableware.

Heather & March is delighted to participate with the Consulate General of France for the exclusive dinner of Goût de France. Besides sponsoring our signature tableware brands, Ercuis,Raynaud, Le Jacquard Français, Charles Lighting Paris to emphasize the French culture of refined culinary paired with top tableware authenticity, we also take part in the l'Art de Recevoir advisory role in making the dinner a great success. 

 

Paul Bocuse Institut culinary program 23-25 June

Heather & March organised the exclusive Paul Bocuse Institut culinary program again at the new state-of-the-art Gaggenau Culinary Studio in Hong Kong. This time our new Chef Raphaël Vetri, General Manager & Executive Chef of Paul Bocuse Institute of Asia taught us how to prepare a delicious French dinner – three emblematic recipes from the Midi-Pyrénées region, also demonstrated the skills of sophisticated culinary presentation through using our exquisite tableware.

Boutique Boulevard at Landmark 

An exclusive jazzy champagne cocktail party was held at our luxury flagship store on 2/F Prince’s Building at Landmark boutique boulevard. VIP guests and friends were invited to the preview of the best lighting collections from Charles Paris, adorned with the new FALL collections from our tableware brands including Ercuis, Gien, Raynaud and Le Jacquard Francais, and to discover the art of decoration at our ‘maison’. They also enjoyed our exciting in-store promotional offer and lucky draw exclusively available for that evening only. It was an amazing unique French party night

 

HOFEX HONG KONG

As the exclusive agent of Ercuis & Raynaud since 2002, Heather & March has extended our business activities into hotel markets since 2014.  We participated the HOFEX show in Hong Kong with great results. 

EASTER BAKING 27 MARCH

On March 27th, Heather & March successfully held Easter Baking workshop, as part of its ‘Art de Vivre’ Lifestyle program. The workshop was hosted by ‘art of fine living’ and etiquette expert Mrs. Wendy Siu, President & Founder of Heather & March. Utilizing the state of the art kitchen studio of Poggenpohl, Siu conducted a step-by-step demonstration of the absolutely tempting and delicious Easter Cake recipe - Made with moist sponge cake, crème pâtissière, fresh cream decorated with beautiful marzipan flowers to the culinary enthusiasts. Siu showed participants how to master the skills of cake making by sharing useful tips and key techniques, also how to create the loveliest Easter tablescape (with Pierre Hermé macarons & our Easter cake!)

Dedicated in spreading our ‘Joie de Vivre’, Heather & March can now be found at The Gateway, Harbour City.

With our store at Prince’s Building being a home store, our new store at Harbour City will mainly be a gift store, extending our Heather & March living concept from French Art of living to Joy of living.

Our new store will feature our most popular and well known signature brands including Cristallerie de Montbronn, Ercuis & Raynaud, Gien, Le Jacquard Français, Moissonnier, Point ? The Enchanting Journey- The World of Moissonnier 4 October

On October 4th, a superb mix of beautiful guests all came to discover the exciting French furniture exhibition preview hosted by ‘Heather & March’, showcasing the exquisite ‘Moissonnier’ furniture whose name signifies beautiful French cabinet making workmanship since 1885 in Bourg-en Bresse. The show is in collaboration with ‘Avenue des Arts’, modern art specialist based in Hong Kong. Guests appreciated the opportunity in exploring the beauty of collaborating refined 18th Century French furniture with dynamic modern art, and to discover how classic furniture can be done with cutting edge finishes, presented in today’s modern stylish homes. 'Splendour of the French Table' Exhibition May  - June 

From May 1 to June 9, Heather & March is proud to have participated in a major exhibition called ‘Splendour of the French Table: Heritage and Modernity of Tableware throughout the Centuries’ organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau as part of Le French May festival. Heather & March sponsored and exhibited three of its major French tableware brands namely Ercuis, Raynaud and Gien by showcasing significant historical and modern tableware pieces from each brand. The exhibition is open to the public and ran for five weeks at Elements Mall, West Kowloon.

For over 15 years, Heather & March has been an active ambassador of the art de vivre à la Française in Hong Kong. The exhibition has been a useful platform to promote the importance of tableware, attention to service and the diversity of gastronomy, all of which form part of France’s deep-rooted culture, heritage and savoir-faire.

IPB 4-day Culinary Training Program 18th to 21st March

Heather & March organized the very first Institut Paul Bocuse 4-day training program in Hong Kong teaching the fundamentals of fine French crisine through a series of brief lectures, market visits and hands-on cooking classes. Eight culinary enthusiasts with different levels of cooking experience signed up early for this rare and intimate program to learn the basics from French sauces and seafood dishes to popular French desserts. Due to its great success, Heather & March plans to continue running this program approximately once every quarter.

THE ART OF BAKING 25TH JANUARY

Heather & March held ‘The Art of Baking’ workshops hosted by experienced dessert maker Mrs. Wendy Siu, President of Heather & March. Two fully-booked sessions took place to demonstrate two authentic and high quality for Chocolate Mousse Cake with Lavender Crémieux and traditional Madeleine. Participants left with useful tips for making successful and delicious cakes at home. This recent baking class is part of Heather & March’s Art de Vivre Lifestyle Program. From the Beginning to 2010

 

Heather & March embarked on a new partnership with high-end German kitchen and appliance brands Gaggenau and Poggenpohl for their newly opened lifestyle showroom located in Causeway Bay. This 10,000 square feet venue welcomed the prestigious Institut Paul Bocuse brought by Heather & March.

Only July 13 & 14, a 2-day private culinary program took place for HKU Museum Society members. Members enjoyed table setting tips from Mrs. Wendy Siu and hands-on cooking classes taught by Executive Chef Federico Duarte to learn signature French dishes made famous by Mr. Paul Boscue.  The classes were followed by a sumptuous 3-course dinner on a beautiful table setting with Heather & March’s unique decorative touch and exquisite dining ware.  HKU Museum Society left with a truly memorable, fun and enjoyable experience.  

 

On November 22nd, a special evening took place with 40 distinguished guests gathering at the French Consul General’s residence to kick off the 150 years of French presence in Hong Kong and to thank Le French May Festival sponsors. Heather & March, known for its unique ‘savoir-faire’, was invited to do the table setting and provide exquisite table ware, linens and decor for the prestigious dinner. VIP guests dined with Raynaud, Ercuis, and Gien table ware as well as Le Jacquard linens. The successful dinner was also highlighted by Head Chef Vincent Thierry of three-star Michelin Caprice of Four Seasons Hotel who prepared a sumptuous menu for guests to enjoy.

 

Heather & March has been invited to co-organise and introduce for the first time ever in Hong Kong a series of cooking programs with the prestigious Institut Paul Bocuse. Lessons with different topics such as “Le Foie Gras”, “La Cuisine de Paul Bocuse” have been held and have received superb reviews from guests and conoisseurs.

 

Heather & March was invited by renowned home appliance company Miele to host a series of exclusive lifestyle and culinary programs at its private lounge from 2011-2012. Wendy Siu hosted a series of pastry making classes.

 

Heather & March hosted a culinary lifestyle program for Le French May festival to promote the learning of French culture and cuisine. This program was held in collaboration with Amber Restaurant (Two Star Michelin) of Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Ladies Recreation Club.

 

Heather & March celebrated its tenth year anniversary with an exclusive and private two-night event at the residence of the Consulate General of France. 

 

To extend the spirit of wine making, French Chamber of Commerce and HKLand jointly organized a wine tasting event in Central where invited guests enjoyed wine and champagne tasting in the ambience of eleven luxury stores. Heather & March was a proud supporter of this program for Le French May festival. Over 140 guests attended the event at Heather & March. Remy Cointreau and Baron de Rothschild generously sponsored their wine and cognac to Heather & March. Other participating brands include Berluti, Cartier, Celine, Dior, Hermes, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Roger Vivier and Van Cleef & Arpel.

 

Wendy Siu was invited by Hongkong Land as workshop speaker in 2011, 2009, 2006, & 2005 to speak on lifestyle topics including ‘Art of Silver Service’, ‘Etiquette on Entertaining’, ‘How to prepare a bridal registry’, ‘Quintessential English Afternoon Tea Workshop’.

Heather & March was selected by Hongkong Land as one of their unique and original tenants to assist in promoting the spirit of ‘Central’ to the Hong Kong audience versus other shopping destinations.

 

In 2005, Wendy Siu was invited by the Consulate General Spouses’ Group to speak on the “Making of Porcelain and Silverware” at the residence of American Consulate General.

In December 2005, Wendy Siu was invited as a panel speaker by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to speak at the WTO Ministerial Event on the topic “How does Globalization affect Successful Women in Business”.

Wendy Siu was invited to host lifestyle workshops for many societies including Zonta, Hong Kong University Museum Society, Hong Kong Federation of Women Lawyers. She hosted a private client event for UBS Private Banking Division.

 

GIEN EXHIBITION

Heather & March hosted two annual exhibitions of Gien faiencerie. Customers and guests discovered the history, know-how, tradition, artistry and beauty of Gien faiencerie. Limited edition Gien decorative pieces were also showcased. 

 

DESIGNERS EXHIBITION

On July 2005, Heather & March organized a designer’s exhibition. In collaboration with Perspective magazine, 50 top designers were invited to view new collections from various Heather & March brands of lighting, silverware and home interior décor.  A cocktail was held on the opening night with special guests Michael Wagner, President of Charles and Guy Bizot, Director of Odiot. Over 20 lamps from Charles and exquisite Odiot pieces were specially flown in from France.

 

French bakery class

On September 2004, Wendy Siu and Yves Matthey, Pastry Chef of Mandarin Oriental co-hosted a French bakery class for Heather & March and Mandarin Oriental customers. Siu shared her own recipes including Chocolate Lavender cake & Kumquat tart, Participants took home useful French bakery tips as well as cake and tart samples.

 

On February 2004, Comité Colbert, a very selective association of 75 luxury French houses celebrated its 50th anniversary. To celebrate the spirit of French art of living, Heather & March hosted a two-day ‘Savoir Faire’ culinary series for Comité Colbert held at the residence of the Consulate General of France. Distinguished guests enjoyed a cooking demonstration by chefs of Ritz Carlton, followed by a lunch prepared by the hotel chefs. Table settings consisted of Heather & March products and limited edition decorative pieces. 

 

COMITÉ COLBERT

Heather & March assisted French luxury brand authority 'Comité Colbert' to organize various high profile luncheons and programs at the residence of the Consulate General of France, with the aim to promote the French art of living in Hong Kong. Other contributors included Hermès, Baccarat and Veuve Clicquot.

 

Arranged for Home Journal, Wendy Siu invited a few of her friends for a stylish lunch at her home. Chef Umberto Bombana of Toscana Restaurant, Ritz Carlton sonjured up impeccable Italian cuisine while guests were given a cooking class to learn a few trade secrets along the way. The beautiful table setting at Siu's home featured Heather & March products with a dash of her own 'savoir faire'.
